Hi, I’m Jei.
For the last eight years, I’ve made my living as a bike messenger in New York City.
One day, I figured there might be other creative opportunities out there than crafting language for cabbies who’d cut me off.
Now, I’m exploring a new avenue and bringing along the best of what #messlife has etched in me: resilience, an instinct for problem solving and an ever-expanding knowledge of the city’s public restrooms.
When not dodging traffic, I’m writing, making field recordings, getting sat on by my cat or finding other ways of being still.
